    Hey Jenn,

Your blog looks great. It’s very usable, but I think you could use some scannability techniques a little more. A few of your posts are a bit long.

Some of my favorite posts link to youtube videos. I especially liked the one that showed how screen readers work. These videos let you show the non-disabled reader better understand your topic and the importance of web accessibility.

I think you have a voice, but you can let it out even more. What do you think about all these things? When you talk about your grandparents’ experience it really strengthens your writing.

My only confusion is about who your audience is. Are you writing for disabled people? Or for people producing web content?

Can’t wait to see how this blog evolves. Good luck!

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi Jennifer,
Your blog is a very specific, well-defined topic. The layout is great – very simple, and the theme suits your topic very well. The masthead is also very creative!

One really cool topic you touched on was captioning for Youtube videos (To caption or not to caption). I think that would be a really cool feature! Your use of quotes and bullet points in “Web accessibility for the mobility impaired” is also a very effective way of telling your story.

If I may offer some constructive criticism, it would be to stay away from really lengthy posts like the first post for Web accessibility for the mobility impaired. If there is a way to link to the article, or just take key points from it, it may have been a little bit easier to get through!

Also, try and embed the video into your page instead of linking to it. If you’re having trouble doing it in the editor, switch to html mode and see if that helps. Try and incorporate some more visuals in your blog – dumb people like me like pictures.

On the whole though, you do a great job of informing your reader about a very cool topic.

    Thanks for the read!
